Phoenix, Ariz. (August 23, 2006) – IPOWER, Inc., a leading website hosting provider for small businesses, has been named one of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the country by Inc. magazine, which released its 2006 annual ranking of the Inc. 500 on August 23. IPOWER ranked 121 on the list with a three-year sales growth percentage of 801.2%.

The 2006 Inc. 500, as revealed in the September issue of Inc., reported the most robust bunch of companies the magazine has ever compiled, with aggregate revenue of $19.7 billion, up from $16.5 billion last year and $12.9 billion in 2000.

Most important, the 2006 Inc. 500 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 90,000 jobs since those companies were founded. IPOWER currently has over 300 employees spread across three continents.

Arizona was home to 17 of the fastest growing companies, including The Go Daddy Group (ranked 137), up from 13 companies from the 2005 list. IPOWER is the highest-ranked Phoenixbased business on the list.

This year’s list is the first to include businesses that started up immediately before and after September 11, 2001 - including IPOWER which was started in October of 2001. In total, 104 companies listed on this year’s Inc. 500 were started after 2000.

“If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500,” said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. “These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones coming up with solutions to some of our most intractable ills, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can’t live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine’s tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious magazine as Inc.,” said IPOWER CEO & President Thomas Gorny. “I started the company with only a few thousand dollars put on my credit card and a dream. Now, only four short years later, IPOWER has helped over 500,000 small businesses achieve success online. I believe a big reason for our success is based on IPOWER’s commitment to our customers’ needs. We are always looking far ahead to see how IPOWER can better service our customers.”

The 2006 Inc. 500 list measures revenue growth from 2002 through 2005. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies - as of December 31, 2005, and have, and have at least $600,000 in net sales in the
base year.

In addition to the ranking in the Inc. 500, IPOWER CEO Thomas Gorny is included in a story in the same issue regarding Net Promoter Scoring, where he explains how this internal scoring method has helped IPOWER bring an even higher level of service and customer satisfaction to the company’s customer base. The Net Promoter Score is based on the number of customers who are promoters of a company’s products or services minus the number of the company’s detractors.

iSERVE Expands New Zealand Hosting

June 2nd, 2006 (Friday) - Posted in category Web Hosting News, I-J

Web hosting provider iSERVE (iserve.co.nz) announced on Thursday its plans for a multi-million dollar development to build New Zealand’s biggest virtual hosting platform.

The company plans to embark on a major development that will include a substantial, fully redundant information backup and recovery facility and the implementation of an always-live Linux, Microsoft and Apple certified support desk. It will also develop several geographically diverse, carrier neutral hosting facilities within New Zealand enabling iSERVE to offer New Zealand’s only 100 percent network uptime promise.

To assist with the funding of this development iSERVE is offering new lifetime hosting plans, Life Plan and Life Plan Plus. Both plans entitle clients to host as many Web sites, domain names, email addresses and POP mailboxes as they want without paying for hosting again.

“If the response of our existing customers to this offer is anything to go by, we expect to raise a significant portion of the capital required,” says Joy Cottle, general manager for iSERVE. “By offering the lifetime hosting plans we can help raise the cash needed without using external sources, while keeping our regular cashflow stabilized, which is why we have capped the offer to a limited number.”

The plans - the first lifetime Web hosting plans to be made available in New Zealand - are guaranteed for life, says the company.
